Dear colleagues!

Nowadays much attention is paid to the development of group music playing and to its significance for musical and esthetical education of the youth. All over the world the educational institutions arrange musical groups (symphonic, wind, folk and jazz orchestras and ensembles).

Due to the loss of Russian mass amateur art in the cities and regional centers many new municipal musical and training groups are being arranged. This trend is considered to be of great importance.

Present-day situation in Russian orchestra-ensemble art stipulates the necessity of cooperation and our journal УOrchestraФ can become the main tool in this respect.

The information on all interesting events, historical and modern research, and everyday problems of the orchestra playing in our country and abroad will be published in our journal and its supplement.

We are looking forward to receiving all your recommendations and materials for publishing.
